Teresa has degrees in Chemistry from Caltech, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences from MIT, and Environmental Science from UCLA.
She is interested in how chemicals move through the environment in water, soil, and air, and the ways in which they affect human health and the environment, and has developed models predicting the fate and effects of chemicals as they move through the environment.
She enjoys advising students and researchers in performing experiments and in describing and presenting their results.

Teresa earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Science & Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1991, her Master of Science in Earth, Atmospheric & Planetary Sciences from
the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1987, and her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Caltech in 1985.
