How to Count the Days Until Your Birthday
You can count the days until your birthday in a few different ways. The easiest way is to use a birthday countdown calculator like the one above, but you can also use our countdown timer.
If your birthday is in the current month, then you can find how many days are left until your birthday using subtraction. Subtract the current day from the day your birthday is on.
days until birthday = birthday day – current day
If your birthday isn’t in the current month, then you’ll need to add the days left in the current month to the days in each month until your birthday, to the days in the month of your birthday.
days until birthday = days left in current month + days in next month + … + days in the month before your birthday
This is the same process that you’d use to find how many days until Christmas, the time until your wedding, or any other significant date.
For instance, if it’s currently March 29th and your birthday is on June 3rd, then you can find the days until your birthday like this:
days until birthday = 3 + 30 + 31 + 2
days until birthday = 66 days
In this example, there are 3 days remaining in the current month, plus 30 days in April, plus 31 days in May, plus 2 days until June 3rd. Thus, there are 66 days left.
